Summary

This study tested whether wearing compression socks, tights, or an abdominal belt can reduce the sudden drop in blood pressure that some older adults experience when standing up. 43 hospitalized patients aged 60 and older with orthostatic hypotension participated. Researchers compared blood pressure changes with and without compression to see which method works best.
