First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looked at whether adding a traditional Chinese herbal drink called Compound E Jiao Jiang to standard iron pills helps women with mild to moderate anemia after giving birth. About 360 women aged 18-45 were randomly assigned to get either the herbal drink plus iron or a placebo drink plus iron for 6 weeks. The main goal was to see if the herbal drink improved hemoglobin levels and eased symptoms like fatigue and mood changes.
