Summary

This study tested a 10-week compassion-based training program to help African Americans deal with stress caused by racism. 22 adults took part, learning mindfulness and self-compassion techniques. The goal was to see if the program was practical and helpful for reducing psychological and biological stress. Results will guide future, larger studies.
