Summary
This study tests a compassion-focused family program for 120 teens aged 12-18 with emotional disorders (depression or anxiety) and their parents. The program aims to increase self-compassion, reduce parenting stress and self-stigma, and ease teen depression and anxiety. Researchers will also measure brain activity and heart rate during parent-child interactions to understand how the therapy works.
