Video scopes tested for easier breathing tube placement in surgery
NCT ID NCT07284251
Summary
This study compared two types of video laryngoscope blades against the standard method for placing double-lumen breathing tubes during chest surgery. Researchers tested 252 patients with normal airways to see which blade helped place these special tubes faster and easier. The goal was to find better tools for this challenging procedure that requires precise tube placement for one-lung ventilation.
