New breathing technique may ease throat surgery recovery

Summary

This study tested two ways of using a breathing machine during throat surgery on 68 adults. The goal was to see if a newer method called flow-controlled ventilation could use lower air pressure than the standard method. Lower pressure may reduce the risk of lung injury during surgery.
