New study aims to sharpen detection of returning liver tumors
NCT ID NCT07600346
First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study compares two ultrasound-based scoring systems (LI-RADS and ESCULAP) to see which one better detects liver cancer that has come back after surgery. About 105 adults who had liver cancer surgery and now have a new liver spot will get a contrast-enhanced ultrasound. The goal is to find the most accurate way to diagnose recurrent cancer, helping doctors choose the right treatment sooner.
