Safer injection for neck pain? study tests new approach

NCT ID NCT07275320

Summary

This study compared two different injection methods for treating neck pain that radiates down the arm (cervical radiculopathy). Researchers tested whether a newer ultrasound-guided injection near the spine is as effective as a traditional steroid injection into the spinal canal, with potentially fewer risks. The trial involved 70 adults whose pain hadn't improved with standard treatments like physical therapy or pain medication.
