Summary

This study tested a new method called Antegrade Sphincterotomy Dovbenko (ASD) against the standard pull-type technique for opening the bile duct during an ERCP procedure. Over 1,500 patients with gallstones or bile duct blockages took part. The goal was to see if the new method causes fewer complications like bleeding, pancreatitis, or perforation.
