First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study compares non-drug treatments (like acupuncture and spinal therapy) with drug treatments (like painkillers and nerve blocks) for people with long-term back pain from a slipped disc. Two hundred adults aged 19 to 69 with moderate to severe pain will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. The goal is to see which approach better reduces pain and improves daily function over 8 weeks of treatment and 3 years of follow-up.
