First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at two treatments for a type of jaw cyst called odontogenic keratocyst. About 50 people will have surgery to remove the cyst, followed by applying either Carnoy's solution or 5-fluorouracil cream to the area. The goal is to see which treatment better prevents the cyst from coming back and causes fewer nerve issues in the jaw.
