Iraqi doctors race to find best Life-or-Death score for trauma victims
NCT ID NCT07186777
Summary
This study aims to find out which of three simple checklists works best to quickly predict how severely injured patients will fare. Researchers in Iraq will track 188 trauma patients to see if scores based on age, consciousness, and vital signs accurately predict who might die, need a breathing tube, or have a long hospital stay. The goal is to help doctors in areas with limited resources make faster, better decisions for critically injured people.
