NCT ID NCT05492721

First seen Feb 16, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tested two different medical skin glues (2-Octylcyanoacrylate and n-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate) used to close small cuts from laparoscopic or robotic abdominal surgery. The goal was to see which glue causes less contact dermatitis (redness or rash) around the incision. 180 adults who were having elective abdominal surgery took part. The results help doctors choose the better glue to reduce skin irritation after surgery.
