NCT ID NCT05492721

First seen Feb 16, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tested two different medical skin glues used to close small incisions from laparoscopic or robotic surgery. 180 adults having elective abdominal surgery were randomly assigned to receive either 2-Octylcyanoacrylate or n-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate glue. The main goal was to see which glue caused less contact dermatitis (rash or redness) around the cuts, and also to compare wound healing problems like infection or reopening.
