Stitches vs mesh: which hernia fix improves life more?

Summary
This study compares two ways to fix an incisional hernia (a bulge through a past surgery scar). One method uses stitches alone, the other uses a mesh patch. Researchers want to see if stitches work just as well as mesh for improving quality of life one year after surgery. About 154 adults with hernias 2-6 cm wide will take part.
