New stitch vs. standard stitch: which works better in Weight-Loss surgery?
NCT ID NCT05433688
Summary
This study compares two types of surgical stitches used during robotic gastric bypass surgery for severe obesity. Researchers want to see if a newer barbed stitch works better than a standard stitch in terms of how long it takes to complete the surgery and whether it leads to fewer complications. The study involves 150 patients who will be randomly assigned to receive either the new or standard stitch during their weight-loss surgery.
