NCT ID NCT07462676

First seen Mar 11, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at 300 people who need two brain surgeries: one to place a shunt (a tube to drain extra fluid) and another to repair a missing piece of skull. Some will have both surgeries at the same time, while others will have them weeks apart. The goal is to see which approach leads to fewer problems like infections, bleeding, or the need for more surgery.
