First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looked at 30 people with VKH disease, a rare condition that causes eye inflammation and can lead to vision loss. Researchers compared two steroid treatments: oral prednisolone (pills) and an injection behind the eye (posterior sub-Tenon triamcinolone acetonide). The goal was to see which better controls inflammation and improves vision over 3 to 6 months, while also checking for side effects and recurrence.
