Summary
This study compared two brands of surgical staplers used during sleeve gastrectomy, a common weight loss surgery. Researchers wanted to see if one brand led to faster surgeries, fewer complications like leaks or bleeding, or better weight loss results. The trial involved 62 adults with severe obesity who were already scheduled for this surgery as part of their standard medical care.
