C-Section scar study: which closure method wins?

NCT ID NCT07483411

First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study compares two common skin closure methods after a planned cesarean section: stitches alone versus stitches plus a skin adhesive. The goal is to see which method leads to fewer wound complications like infection or poor healing, and which one women find more convenient and satisfying. About 240 women having a planned C-section at Hadassah Medical Center will take part and be followed for 6-8 weeks after surgery.
