First seen Apr 12, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests whether a combination of dormicum and ketamine works better than dexmedetomidine alone to prevent emergence delirium—a state of confusion and agitation—in children aged 3 to 16 after deep sedation for burn procedures. The trial will enroll 60 children undergoing elective burn dressing changes or minor surgeries. The goal is to find a safer, more effective way to keep children calm and comfortable after anesthesia.
