Gum shield showdown: which dressing heals better?
NCT ID NCT07472218
First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study compares two types of gum dressings (Ora-Aid and Coe-Pak) placed after a deep cleaning procedure for people with moderate gum disease. Twenty-five adults with Stage 3 periodontitis will receive both dressings on different sides of their mouth to see which one reduces pocket depth, lowers bacteria, and feels more comfortable over 3 months. The goal is to find which dressing helps gums heal better after non-surgical treatment.
