New nerve block aims to ease pain in 'Tubeless' lung surgery

NCT ID NCT07440199

Summary

This study compares two different nerve-blocking techniques used to manage pain during and after a specific type of minimally invasive lung surgery. The surgery is done through one small incision and without putting the patient on a breathing machine. Researchers want to see if a newer nerve block works as well as a more common one at reducing pain and the need for strong painkillers during the operation.
