New study tests best way to ease Kids' pain after appendix removal

NCT ID NCT07301528

Summary

This study compares two different nerve-block techniques to see which one better controls pain after children have their appendix removed. Researchers will randomly assign 60 children (ages 3-13) to receive one of the two pain-block methods during surgery. The goal is to find which technique reduces pain most effectively, lowers the need for opioid painkillers, and helps children recover faster.
