Study seeks safer, stronger pain relief for kids after surgery

NCT ID NCT07256535

Summary

This study aims to find the better method for managing pain in young children (ages 1-6) after hernia surgery. It compares two types of nerve blocks (injections that numb the area) by measuring pain levels and the amount of pain medication that gets into the child's bloodstream. The goal is to see which method provides more effective pain relief with a potentially lower risk of side effects from the medication.
