First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests two oral antifungal drugs, fluconazole and itraconazole, in adults with ringworm that hasn't cleared up with creams. About 126 people aged 18-70 with persistent infection for at least 6 months will take one of the two medicines for 4 weeks. The goal is to see which drug leads to complete clearing of redness, scaling, and itching. Results will help doctors choose the best treatment for resistant cases.
