First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looked at two ways to numb the arm for surgery: one block near the collarbone and one below it. Researchers measured how long each block affected nerve signals using skin temperature and blood flow. 200 adults having arm surgery took part. The goal was to see which block lasts longer and whether there is a rebound effect when it wears off.
