New MRI dye tested against standard for spotting kidney and adrenal issues
NCT ID NCT07040865
First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study compares a newer MRI contrast agent, gadopiclenol, to the standard agent, gadobutrol, to see if it works just as well for imaging the kidneys and adrenal glands. About 104 adults with incidental findings in these organs will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two dyes during a single MRI session. The goal is to determine if the newer agent provides equally clear images for diagnosis.
