NCT ID NCT07516106

First seen Apr 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study compares two types of lasers used to break up kidney stones during a procedure called ureteroscopy. About 70 adults with a single stone or multiple stones totaling 7-20 mm will be randomly assigned to receive either a pulsed Thulium laser or a pulse-modulated Holmium laser. The main goal is to see which laser leaves fewer stone fragments behind and how efficient each is in terms of time and energy used.
