Study tests faster, gentler ways to fix a broken jaw

NCT ID NCT07153120

Summary

This study compared three different methods for wiring a patient's jaw shut to help a broken jawbone heal properly. Doctors tested traditional metal bars, newer screws, and a hybrid method on 24 adults with jaw fractures. They measured how well the jaw healed, how long the procedure took, and how comfortable it was for patients.
