First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looked at 100 patients in a respiratory intensive care unit to see if closed-type IV catheters stay in place longer than open-type ones. The goal was to find which type reduces complications like vein inflammation and the need for reinsertion. Results will help doctors choose better catheters for ICU patients.
