First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study compares two ways of taking iron supplements for adults with iron deficiency anemia: once daily versus every other day. The goal is to see if the every-other-day approach works just as well to raise hemoglobin levels while causing fewer side effects. About 114 participants will take iron pills for 8 weeks and have blood tests at the start, week 4, and week 8.
