Home hospital care may be just as good: study tests recovery program for seniors
NCT ID NCT07183241
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looks at two things: first, how being treated at home versus in the hospital affects activity levels in older adults with an acute illness. Second, it tests whether a home-based program of cognitive and physical exercises after discharge helps improve physical and mental function better than usual care. About 200 older adults in Navarre will take part. The goal is to find better ways to care for seniors after a sudden illness.
