New study tests best way to save jawbone after tooth loss

Summary

This study compares three different gum-grafting techniques used right after a tooth is pulled and a dental implant is placed. The goal is to see which method best prevents bone loss around the implant. Fifty-four adults with a front tooth needing extraction will be randomly assigned to one of the three methods and followed for one year.
