Eye injection showdown: which drug saves diabetic vision?
NCT ID NCT07338097
Summary
This study aims to find out which of two common eye injections works better for improving vision in people with diabetic macular edema, a condition where diabetes causes fluid buildup in the eye, leading to vision loss. Researchers will compare aflibercept and bevacizumab in about 116 adults with diabetes who have had vision problems for at least five years. Participants will receive monthly injections for two months, and doctors will measure changes in their vision and eye thickness to see which treatment is more effective.
