NCT ID NCT03741777

First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how much clear liquid (like water or juice) teenagers can safely drink before an upper GI endoscopy. About 288 teens aged 13-17 will be split into four groups, each drinking a different amount two hours before the procedure. Doctors will measure the leftover stomach fluid and acidity to help create better fasting rules.
