New device trial aims to prevent birth injuries during emergency C-Sections
NCT ID NCT07372768
Summary
This study compares two medical devices designed to help deliver a baby when its head becomes stuck during an emergency C-section performed late in labor. Researchers will observe 80 women needing this procedure to see which device—the established Fetal Pillow or the newer Tydeman Tube—leads to better outcomes for both mother and baby. The goal is to find safer techniques to manage this serious and common complication.
