First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study compares two dental procedures—direct pulp capping and partial pulpotomy—for treating reversible pulpitis (tooth nerve inflammation) caused by deep decay. About 138 people aged 15-40 with deep cavities in their back teeth will be treated and followed for one year to see which method works better and causes less pain. The goal is to save the tooth and avoid more invasive treatments like root canals.
