Dental trial tests best spot for braces anchors

NCT ID NCT07405905

Summary

This study compares two different locations in the jaw for placing small anchor screws (mini-implants) used during orthodontic treatment. The goal is to see which location is more effective and comfortable for pulling protruding upper front teeth back into a better position. Thirty adult patients with a specific type of overbite will have teeth removed and then be randomly assigned to receive anchors in one of the two spots. Researchers will measure tooth movement and ask patients about their comfort during treatment.
