Carbon fiber braces put to the test for veterans and civilians with old leg injuries
NCT ID NCT03901053
Summary
This study compared two commercially available custom carbon fiber braces to see which one works better for people with long-term problems from a severe lower leg injury. Fifty-four adults who were injured more than two years ago tried both braces for three months each. Researchers measured how well they walked, their balance, pain levels, and which brace they preferred to help doctors choose the best support.
