First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026

Summary

This study looked at two different treatments to help patients in the intensive care unit who are on breathing machines. One group did special breathing exercises, and the other group received mild electrical pulses to their diaphragm muscle. The goal was to see which method better strengthens breathing muscles and improves recovery. The study included 32 patients and measured muscle strength, breathing machine settings, and how long patients stayed in the hospital.
