Pig vs cow bone grafts: which works better for dental implants?
NCT ID NCT07182929
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at 56 people who had a sinus lift procedure to make room for dental implants. Researchers compared two types of bone graft materials: one from pigs and one from cows. They used CT scans taken before, right after, and 6 months after surgery to measure bone height and volume. The goal was to see if one material shrinks more over time and if both lead to similar bone quality.
