First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looked at two different materials used to rebuild the upper jawbone so dental implants can be placed. Fourteen people with bone loss in the upper jaw received either a pre-shaped titanium mesh or a custom-made PEEK mesh to hold bone graft material. The researchers measured how much new bone formed over six months to see which material worked better.
