First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looked at 94 women who had a C-section under spinal anesthesia. Doctors compared two medicines used to treat low blood pressure: a continuous drip of phenylephrine versus rescue shots of ephedrine. The goal was to see which approach leads to healthier umbilical cord blood pH in newborns. Results will help guide safer anesthesia practices during C-sections.
