New video-guided airway device tested against standard tool in shoulder surgery

Summary

This study compares two breathing tube devices (SafeLM™ video laryngeal mask and i-gel®) in 70 adults having shoulder surgery while sitting up. The goal is to see which device keeps the airway sealed better and safer after patients are moved to a sitting position. Results will help doctors choose the best tool for this challenging position.
