Doctors test which breathing tube is safer for kids in surgery

NCT ID NCT07196137

Summary

This study compared two types of breathing tubes used during general anesthesia for children's elective surgeries. Researchers wanted to see which device allowed less air to enter the stomach, as this can lead to nausea and vomiting. They used ultrasound to measure stomach size in 101 children aged 1-12 during their procedures.
