First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether training local health workers to use smartphone apps, measuring tapes, and scales can help identify and treat more children with severe wasting (a life-threatening form of malnutrition) in rural Kenya. About 1,600 children and their families will take part. The goal is to see if this community-based approach increases the number of children who receive life-saving treatment.
