Summary

This study tests whether using local community groups can improve how severe acute malnutrition (SAM) is prevented, found, and treated in children aged 6 to 59 months in Ethiopia. The approach includes teaching families about nutrition, active screening, and follow-up care. About 1,080 children will take part to see if this method increases treatment coverage and is cost-effective.
