First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a special CT scan can better predict future heart problems in people who have had a heart attack and a stent placed. Researchers will enroll 1,000 patients and use the CT scan to look at the heart arteries, heart muscle, and surrounding fat. They will then follow patients for up to 5 years to see who has another heart attack, heart failure, or other serious heart events. The goal is to create a more accurate way to identify high-risk patients and personalize their care.
