Can simple breathing exercises help ICU patients recover faster?
NCT ID NCT07055789
First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a combined breathing muscle training program is safe and practical for adults in the intensive care unit (ICU) who are on or recently off a ventilator. 22 patients took part, and the main goal was to see if the training could be done regularly and if patients would stick with it. The results will help design larger studies to see if this training can improve breathing strength and recovery.
