New combo therapy aims to outsmart resistant leukemia

Summary
This study tests whether combining two targeted drugs (gilteritinib plus ivosidenib or enasidenib) is safe and effective for people with a hard-to-treat form of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that has returned or not responded to treatment. The trial enrolls 18 adults whose leukemia has specific gene changes (FLT3 and IDH1 or IDH2). Researchers will first find the safest dose, then check how well it works.
